Riedel Communications' MediorNet, Artist, and Bolero are playing major behind-the-scenes technical roles at the National Theatre in London, and Riedel is looking forward to revealing that story in early 2018. But, as the year starts to wind down, the company is pleased to announce that the theatre is using the same Riedel products as stage props in its highly anticipated stage adaptation of the 1976 television news satire "Network."
 

The historic Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, also known as the De Munt Theatre, has upgraded its entire staff communications infrastructure based on intercom equipment from Riedel Communications. Consisting of the Artist digital matrix intercom, Bolero wireless intercom in both integrated and standalone modes, and SmartPanel multifunctional user interfaces, the Riedel solution surpasses the theater’s requirements for highly flexible, reliable, high-quality, and future-proof intercom operations.

Le Couvent des Jacobins, a brand-new convention center built within a 14^th-century convent in Rennes, France, has installed Riedel Communications equipment to support a future-proofed communications system based on the latest AoIP standard SMPTE 2110-30 (AES67) and on robust wireless technology. Together, the Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system, Performer digital partyline, Bolero wireless intercom system, and Riedel SmartPanels enable flexible communications throughout the large-scale facility and handle the multipath reflections that naturally occur throughout the site’s stunning architecture.

As Singapore celebrated the 50th anniversary of its first National Day, Riedel Communications equipment supported all communications for technical and production-oriented coordination of the National Day Parade (NDP). Supplied and deployed as a complete solution, the Riedel Artist digital matrix intercom system, Performer digital partyline intercom system, RockNet real-time audio network, and a variety of keypanels, beltpacks, and radios supported cueing of the cast members, as well as the light, sound, pyrotechnics, and other departments contributing to the Aug. 9 celebration.

As a technology partner for the upcoming Mission to the Moon, led by the Berlin-based PTScientists commercial space company, Riedel Communications will once again demonstrate its ability to deliver mission-critical systems. Riedel is providing the communications and signal infrastructure for the groundbreaking project in which PTScientists will aim to be the first private company to land on the Moon.

Riedel Communications today announced that its Bolero wireless intercom is providing flexible, reliable, and high-quality crew communications at the Opéra de Lille, a neoclassical opera house in Lille, France. Built between 1907 and 1913 and inaugurated in 1923, the Opéra de Lille has placed Bolero at the core of its all-new, future-proof comms infrastructure. “Outstanding wireless communications are vital for the day-to-day operation of our theatre. When it came time to upgrade from legacy UHF technology to the state of the art, we searched for an intercom that could provide optimal functionality and minimal latency in the license-free 1.9 GHz frequency range. Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London has adopted Riedel’s Bolero wireless intercom to ensure reliable and flexible communications across the 10,000-square-meter building and the adjacent Lilian Baylis Studio. Located on London’s iconic Rosebery Avenue, the theatre is renowned as one of the world’s leading dance venues, staging contemporary dance and ballet performances in its 1,560-seat main auditorium. The theatre also has a unique link to Riedel’s home city of Wuppertal through an ongoing residency with the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, a partnership that spans more than 35 years.

Robe moving lights – 174 in total - were specified by lighting designer Helmut Krammer for the 2014 Summer Night Concert, performed for its eleventh year by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna which provided a sumptuous and beautiful Baroque backdrop to the event.

Over 400 Robe moving lights boosted the magic and spectacle of the 45^th Singapore Chingay Parade to celebrate Chinese New Year – The Year of the Rooster. Javier Tan’s colourful high-impact lighting design matched the glamour, glitz and exuberance of the high profile public event, featuring an ebullient cast of 8000, creatively directed by Fan Dong Kai and staged at the F1 Pit Building in the city centre.

Lighting and set designer Eli Sirlin utilized over 120 Robe moving lights in his lighting scheme for the 2013 Festival Nacional de la Vendimia (National Grape Harvest Festival), a high profile world-renowned celebration of wine and the wine-making industry held in Mendoza, Argentina.

The famous Polish State Folk Group of Song and Dance 'Mazowsze' is named after the Mazowsze region of Poland. In 2018 it became even better known after featuring in Paweł Pawlikowski’s movie Cold War – and just before that, it invested in some of Robe’s large Tarrantula LED wash beams, which met a tender specification that was initiated by technical manager and lighting designer, Lukas Rúzewilz.
