Robe moving lights made a major contribution at the 2017 Colours Of Ostrava (COO) festival with nearly 100 fixtures utilized to light the ArcelorMittal Stage in a stylish and flexible production design created by Kamil Kruzik. The lights were supplied by oneAVteam, the largest audio visual rental group in Central Europe. Three companies cooperated on this project – AV MEDIA, RentalPRO and YVENTECH.
HDwireless is bringing the technology of the RF1 high-frequency vehicle right up to date. As part of this process, the vehicle has been revised by the renowned system integrator BFE from Mainz over the course of the last four weeks. This has involved the precise analysis of future tasks and developments in professional broadcasting and high-frequency wireless camera transmission. The production vehicle for high-frequency outdoor broadcasting was first put into operation in 2015.

Genelec Brings Cloud Services and Reference Levels to GLM 3 Software Application
Having revolutionised active monitoring more than a decade ago with the development of their GLM loudspeaker manager software, Genelec’s continuous research has led to the introduction of GLM 3, incorporating beta Cloud services and Reference Level listening features. For the first time, users of Genelec SAM systems will be able to access GLM Cloud services anywhere and anytime – providing a secure back-up and instant access to the very latest software updates. The new Reference Level features have been developed in response to global broadcast standards, which demand that calibrated listening SPLs are adhered to in order to make programs interchangeable across a range of listening conditions. Since its introduction, the GLM software application has helped audio professionals on both Mac and PC to configure and automatically calibrate their Genelec SAM monitor systems, delivering fully optimised performance for their acoustic environment.

The North American leg of the band’s current world tour got some additional wattage from a large complement of Claypaky Scenius Unico, Mythos and Sharpy Wash fixtures. The Joanne World Tour is the fifth headlining tour by Lady Gaga, in support of her fifth studio album, Joanne. When the curtain was raised for the opening show in Vancouver last month, the audience was awed by a spectacular set and visual concept masterminded by production and lighting designer, Seven Design Works’ LeRoy Bennett.

Studio.One employs cost-effective, ultra-high resolution cameras with wide angle and/or fish eye lenses to capture every aspect of a live event from multiple angles. The system is designed to integrate into a traditional or IP broadcast environment and blend seamlessly with Virtual Reality video production, making it ideal for remote internet or broadcast live productions such as music concerts, sports events, church services and conferences.
Grass Valley, a Belden brand, has complemented the capabilities of its LDX IP and SDI cameras with tallies and control over IP using the TallyMan platform from TSL Products. This collaboration allows full IP standards based connection for video, audio, communications, tally and control.
The Grass Valley LDX series is the leading family of cameras on the market with direct IP interfacing, allowing it to be connected over a network rather than by a point-to-point connection. Multiple cameras and base stations can be linked via a COTS ethernet switch, which can also link to other equipment such as switchers for a complete live production environment.
The legendary Moods jazz club in Zurich has created a new streaming platform for its concerts – moods.digital. Offering both live streaming and video on demand, Moods’ new "Digital Concert Club" has already gained popularity and is now taking the concert experience to the next level: Until the end of the year, around 20 concerts will be provided in AMBEO 3D audio.
