Eurovision, known for its epic, weird and remarkable performances didn’t fail to entertain us once again as contestants competed, not just with their voices but the effects, lighting and imagery that supported them. This year Europe’s guilty pleasure came back bigger and better, with a huge stage, catwalk, 6 giant LED screens and an enormous lighting rig.

Buckinghamshire Music Trust (BMT’s) Battle of the Bands (BOTB) contest for young aspiring musicians was this year blessed by having two of the world’s leading pro audio manufacturers provide a top tier concert touring spec. By being able to broadcast their sound through a premier touring PA, on a Dante backbone, will have taken the 12 bands competing in the final into new territory.

Barnfind’s BarnOne optical transmission matrix served as the glue connecting stages to the OB van at China’s Tmall 2016 Double 11 Carnival Night on November 10th 2016. The event, founded in 2009 and aimed at stimulating domestic demand, has evolved into an annual shopping festival featuring numerous international production teams and celebrities. The production was directed by David Hill, a top American producer whose credits include more than 20 United States Super Bowls, the 88th Oscar Night: The Academy Awards, and American Idol. 

Karpe, the Norwegian hip hop and rap band formerly known as Karpe Diem, thinks outside the box, or stage. The artists, considered pioneers in entertainment, are setting  a new standard not only for their type of music, but also for their innovative performance style. Instead of a traditional stage configuration for their 2019 Sas Plus / Sas Pussy tour, the group sprinkled the band throughout the auditorium – a treat for the audience, but a headache for the technicians responsible for the set up.
 

Bandit Lites is honored to be providing the lighting for the Peter Frampton Finale—The Farewell Tour presented by SiriusXM, a nearly 50-date run this summer and fall produced by Live Nation. The guitar legend has announced he will retire from regular vigorous touring at the end of this year due to his diagnosis of Inclusion Body Myositis (IBM), and with a career spanning over more than half a century, Frampton has a massive body of work to draw from for his legion of fans.

Chris Young is rounding out the year with a new album and a tour run that covers the country as part of Jason Aldean’s They Don’t Know Tour. Bandit Lites is providing the lighting package for the American Country Award winning artist, whose sixth studio album is set to drop this month and features his most recent single, Losing Sleep. 

Bandit Lites kicked off festival season illuminating the Hangout Music Festival, a three-day event hailed as a music vacation along Alabama’s white, sandy beaches. Now in its tenth year, Hangout’s line up included Travis Scott, The Lumineers, Cardi B, Kygo, Khalid, Vampire Weekend, Hozier and The Weeknd. Attendees were also treated to a surprise performance from long time Bandit client Jimmy Buffett.   
 

While the weather may have been frightful, fans and artists still turned out to give back at Warren Haynes Annual Christmas Jam. Bandit Lites was honored to donate a lighting package for the sold-out benefit for Habitat for Humanity where the lineup included Trey Anastasio and Classic Tab, The Avett Brothers, Blackberry Smoke, and Gov’t Mule with a special appearance by Ann Wilson of Heart.  
 

A record breaking 600,000 people attended the 84th annual meeting of the National Football League’s Draft. Bandit Lites was proud to once again work with C3 Presents to provide the lighting for more than twenty-five scenes across the city of Nashville including the NFL Hall of Fame Museum, NFL Experience Portal, a locker room experience with model displays from players on each team, music stage and the interiors of the Fan Zone that showcase the Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl rings.  
 

The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival wrapped its seventeenth weekend at The Farm, a 700-acre field that grows to be the state’s fifth largest city every summer. This year’s festivities sold out as 80,000 attendees clamored to see a line up that included Cardi B, GRiZ, Phish, Solange, Kasey Musgraves, The Lonely Island, The National and Post Malone.
