Fonn Group companies Mjoll and 7Mountains bring new breed of newsroom workflow tools to NAB2020 Show
Fonn Group, a technology group headquartered in Media City Bergen, Norway, will bring a new breed of journalistic tools, focusing on efficiency and creative freedom to this year's NAB show, which takes place April 18-22 in Las Vegas, USA. It will be exhibiting it’s latest newsroom tools Mimir and DiNA by Fonn Group companies Mjoll and 7Mountains, on booth SU8524. NAB will also be the first major show for the recently launched Fonn Group Americas operation, which is being led by media industry veteran Isaac Hersly to serve the North and South American markets.
Elliot Griggs chose Robe’s T1 Profiles to provide major key lighting for Amélie the Musical, a new production first staged at the Watermill Theatre, Newbury, UK, which then undertook a nationwide UK and Irish tour and is now playing at The Other Palace in London until the start of February. Elliot was asked to light the show, directed by Michael Fentiman and based on the much loved and five-times Oscar-nominated 2001 French art-house romantic comedy film, Amélie. The lead character has an eccentric upbringing and a vivid imagination which she uses to explores the complexities of love, loneliness, existence and survival in the big city.
Movicom, international developer and manufacturer of leading-edge specialty camera systems for the broadcast industry, has inked an agreement with Dong Hwa A.V. Co. Ltd in partnership with Content Oceans to be the exclusive official representative for Robycam products in South Korea. “We’ve worked together for several years, and done some great projects with Dong Hwa”, said Victor Pakhomov, CEO of Movicom, “now everyone felt like it was time to take our cooperation to the next level.” The agreement goes into effect immediately, and Dong Hwa will now have its own Robycam system.
The Vridilo Je show was a massive high-profile tribute concert in Spilt Arena, Croatia, starring the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (ZPO) and dedicated to the late singer, entertainer, and Croatian superstar Oliver Dragojević, an iconic figure who passed in 2018 following a career spanning over 50 years. Today, 4K 4Charity organizers announced that registration is open for the official run of the 2020 National Association Broadcasters (NAB) Show. In addition to the popular 4K (2.49-mile) route, this year’s run includes a new 8K (4.97-mile) course option. The run provides a healthy, fun activity for NAB attendees, supports non-profits focused on increased diversity and inclusion in the technology and media industries, and celebrates advancements in video technology, such as Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K and 8K video. Pixway Chooses disguise to Drive Massive LED Video Screen for Renault at 2019 Geneva International Motor Show
When Berlin-based creative event solutions company Pixway helped to create the Renault booth for the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) they utilised four disguise 4x4pro media servers to drive the booth’s massive LED video screen and feed colour information to an innovative interactive lighting rig.
Green Hippo’s Hippotizer Media Servers were chosen by video director Jay Baker of Creative Video Design to drive the visuals for Spotify Presents: Who We Be Live 2019. Performed live at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, the Spotify show was part of its award-winning series of events featuring the UK and Ireland’s leading Rap, Grime, R&B and Afrobeat line-ups.

Painting with Light (PWL)’s creative director Luc Peumans was asked to design an eye-catching lighting scheme for the opening ceremony (OC) of the first Qatar eSports WEGA Global Games. The OC event was staged in the Khalifa Stadium in Doha and enthusiastically attended and appreciated by 14,000 eSports fans. Infront, a Wanda Sports Group company, will continue as the exclusive marketing partner of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) after extending its partnership until the 2029/30 season. The current agreement was due to end after the 2021/22 season, but the prolongation means Infront and the IBU extend that collaboration for a further eight years after that.
