Sony Acquires Nevion to Enhance its Portfolio of End-to-End IP/Cloud-based Production Solutions for Broadcasting and other Applications
Sony Imaging Products & Solutions Inc. (“Sony”) today announced that it is acquiring Nevion AS (“Nevion”), a leading provider of virtualized media production solutions, to further enhance its portfolio, providing end-to-end IP and cloud-based production solutions for broadcasting and other applications. Sony, which has been a minority shareholder in Nevion since July 2019, is purchasing the remaining shares in the company, and making it a subsidiary.

Verge Aero, the leader in high performance drone shows, recently took to the skies together with partner Strictly FX for a celebratory light show marking the launch of the 2020 NFL season for the Philadelphia Eagles. The company, which is based in Philadelphia, deployed a fleet of 200 drones to deliver the large-scale aerial performance, which played out above Philadelphia’s Mann Center for the Performing Arts.

Euro Media Group, one of Europe’s leading provider of broadcast facilities and services and active in 10 countries, was commissioned by UEFA to supply the host broadcast production of the UEFA Super Cup in Budapest on September 24th with its next generation truck Nova 103. This UHD/HDR truck is one of the brand-new twin trucks Nova 103 & Nova 104 built by Euro Media Group this year. While the truck has been touring a lot around France on major events over the summer for Canal+, the event was the Nova 103 truck’s first venture outside of the French borders.
