Riedel's MediorNet real-time media network and Artist digital matrix intercom are providing the decentralized and redundant signal routing and communications backbone on board two all-new, state-of-the-art OB vehicles for Ruptly, a Berlin-based international news agency. Qvest Media, a world-leading system architect and integrator for the broadcast and media industries, designed and built the new broadcast van and DSNG vehicle.
On November 4 – exactly 34 years after Canal+ went on air – the French media group in association with Première Fois Productions, launched Clique TV, a channel dedicated to providing a voice to artists. For the creation of its original content, the new channel worked with facilities provider BOB in France to deploy an EVS Dyvi live production switcher.
Lawo technology was installed in the "Philharmonie Production Complex" of Cologne-based German public broadcaster Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) as part of a fundamental modernization. The Lawo equipment was integrated into the audio network, which had also been upgraded. Internally, the overall project responsibility was on the WDR Department for Music and Production, and it was carried out by the WDR Planning and Project Engineering Department. The system integration was implemented by the Cologne-based company Mediatec Video- und Audio-Service GmbH.

Hitachi Z-HD5000 Cameras Increase Broadcast and Sports Production Quality at Southeast Missouri State University
At Southeast Missouri State University, the department of Mass Media’s ‘TV & Film’ program offers an intensive, hands-on curriculum in which students work on a wide variety of programming that is broadcast on local television affiliates, streamed live on ESPN+ and entered into the university’s annual film festival. When the department needed to upgrade its cameras for Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) sports streaming and other television productions, it purchased four Z-HD5000 HDTV cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. Berlin-based manufacturer Stage Tec has upgraded two of Flemish broadcaster VRT’s OB trucks with powerful RMDQ audio DSP units. The HD01 and HD02 OB vans were each equipped with six DSP boards in their NEXUS STAR routers. With them, the OB trucks are now ready for all production requirements. For example, depending on the configuration, 44 mix buses and more than 500 audio channels are available. The AURUS consoles, which have been installed in the OB vans for eight years, can now benefit from new features such as the automixer, M/S decoder, internal tone generator, and the VCA hierarchy, etc.
