At IBC show Broadcast Solutions presents the new Streamline S12T model at their outdoor stand O.E02. With over 45 units built and on the road, the Streamline concept is the world’s most successful OB Van series. The new S12T model is based on a 26-ton self-driving truck with a single expansion box-body buildup. The S12T works with up to 12 4K/UHD cameras based on 12G-SDI UHD Single Link and offers sufficient 3G-SDI Quad Link gateways for monitoring purposes.

At IBC (Stand 1.A71) Bridge Technologies is showcasing a new capability – as a technology demonstration, but due for imminent customer availability – that promises to be transformative for remote production. The technology is a Widglets™API HTML5 video monitor for the company’s VB440 network probe that allows the probe to become truly multifunctional beyond its current widespread deployment for monitoring IP networks, extending its usefulness well beyond test and measurement. By leveraging the Widglets API, users can, for example, now deliver a full-motion, colour-accurate and ultra-low latency video monitoring capability to any location or any application where it is needed: all that is required is a laptop and a network connection.
Gravity Media, a leading global provider of complex live broadcast facilities and production services, has agreed to acquire Chief Entertainment Pty Limited, a leading Sydney, Australia-based provider of live studio and production services, from Telstra Corporation Limited, Australia’s leading telecommunications and technology company. Gravity Media currently operates in Australia under the Gearhouse Broadcast, HyperActive Broadcast and Input Media brands and this acquisition will complement the existing Input Media production centres in the UK as well as its Melbourne production and Sydney post-production facilities. The transaction has not yet completed and is expected to complete by the end of August, subject to certain conditions being satisfied.
