SIS LIVE Supplies 70 Uplinks for Election Night 2010
SIS LIVE, Europe’s largest outside broadcast (OB) and uplink supplier, provided 70 satellite uplink vehicles to the main UK broadcasters for their coverage of the UK General Election 2010 coverage. Uplink vehicles and SIS LIVE crew were deployed throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, giving the broadcasters unprecedented coverage of the main electoral battlegrounds. The number of SIS LIVE’s customers represented the whole array of broadcasting companies, including the BBC, Sky News, ITV, ITN, Five News and GMTV, as well as STV in Scotland, RTE in Ireland and Sky Italia.

Digital Agenda for Europe: Statements from ACT and EBU
The Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT) as well as the European Broadcasting Union (EBU have responded to today’s adoption of the Digital Agenda. The EU 2020 Strategy rightly recognised the Digital Agenda as one of seven flagship initiatives needed to stimulate growth. The creative industries, including commercial and public television, play a crucial role in that initiative, contributing to the European economy and employing millions of workers, but also by promoting democracy, original creative content, linguistic diversity and media pluralism. AKG Phase 2 Inauguration Video Provided by Creative Technology
Called upon by long time partner QMDI in Doha, Qatar, and working alongside Production Company John Adkins (JA) Productions, Creative Technology (CT) provided a variety of video equipment for the inauguration of Phase 2 of the Al Khaleej Gas (AKG) Project in Qatar.
The ceremony, held at the Cultural Village in Doha on May 10th, was the second stage, the first phase of which began in November 2005 and was completed in December last year. This is an ambitious project, the aim of which is to provide gas to some of Qatar’s most significant industries.

VSN participates in the project to create Catalonia’s Audiovisual Ring
On 5th July, VSN's director and CEO, Jordi Utiel, took part in the signing of an agreement amongst the Government of Catalonia, companies of the audiovisual sector and telecommunications operators with the aim to start a trial run to boost Catalonia's Audiovisual Ring. As a result of the agreement, the signing parties will cooperate on the initial stage of this project by contributing resources and knowledge to develop the infrastructure, connectivity, services and applications that add value to the audiovisual field.

Besides having 14 anchors, analysts and reporters on set in multiple studios in 30 Rock, the two networks continued its extensive use of virtual and touch screen technology.While the technology was new for many U.S. networks in 2008, the networks have had more time to learn and tweak, meaning a well rounded and polished look for this election.Unlike other networks, the technology, powered by Orad, worked. The iPad app didn’t fail. The real-time virtual graphics didn’t twitch.
