IBC Television News has decided to renew its collaboration with EVS as official provider of the news production workflow for the upcoming IBC exhibition and conference which will be held in Amsterdam from September 10 to 14. EVS will provide full integrated tapeless solutions for ingest, storage, editing and playout of the HD news programs broadcast on TV channels as well as on the IBC website.

When responding to the Commission consultation on theGreen Paper on Creative & Cultural Industries presented by DG Education and Cultureearlier this year, the Association of Commercial Television in Europe welcomed the recognition of the creative sector as a central part of theDigital Agenda and the wider EU economy as laid down in the EU 2020 Strategy.

More than 100 visitors attended the 3D Road Show organised by Wellen+Nöthen in nobeo’s Studio 4 on June 11th, 2010. At this event Quantel, in conjunction with Sony and Vizrt, demonstrated a complete stereo 3D workflow for production,  post production and transmission. It was the first time the German Film and TV industry could have "Hands On 3D" from Ingest to editing and playout. The 2010 Tour de France was the 97th edition of the Tour de France cycle race, one of cycling's Grand Tours. It started on 3 July with an 8.9 km prologue time trial in Rotterdam, the first start in the Netherlands since 1996.
