Exhibition London is a new multipurpose live music and events venue in White City, West London initiated and operated by Broadwick Live and Venue Lab, offering another stunning, uniquely interesting, highly adaptable – 1400 seated to 2800 standing capacity – historic industrial space in their portfolio. It is ideal for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, awards presentations, location filming and live music events. Opened in early 2020, Exhibition London’s complete technical infrastructure was specified and procured by consultant and technical production director Simon Jones of SJ-TPM who also coordinated and oversaw all elements of the technical installation and commissioning. Simon had started work on the project in the second quarter of 2019 after having been involved in other Broadwick Live venues.

Putting the Robe Art into Shlomo Artzi

Shlomo Artzi is one of Israel’s most successful and popular male singers, and his most recent shows hit the road with an ongoing lighting design by Gadi Spivak who has worked for the artist for over 20 years. Gadi and his lighting associate Shlomit Lola Nehama chose to use 24 x Robe Spiider LED wash beams for a key element of his lighting rig.

Putting VR, Volumetric Video in Refresh Mode

Hope you caught the news...Amazon Prime just launched their VR streaming. They had to because Netflix, Hulu and YouTube already have the service. Well no most of the stuff you watch isn't really VR but at least you get to use your HMD. If you're one of the few who haven't experienced VR immersion you'll probably put the unit on and say "big deal." But we just had a chance to see what a number of volumetric and VR filmmakers are creating and once you do, you'll know why creatives are working so hard to bring you into their content. It's better - much better - than last year and the content and VR games are being delivered, watched and played. Yes it's good...darn good! And the number of titles continues to grow.

PwL Delivers Stunning Show Design for Clouseau

Belgian superstar rockers Clouseau ended the year and start 2017 on a high note with a large-scale version of their ‘Clouseau Danst’ tour concept, staged over four sold-out nights in December and January at the 20,000 capacity Antwerps Sportpaleis. Painting with Light delivered another spectacular show design encompassing lighting, video, stage, set and automation ... plus DMX controlled wristbands worn by the audience each night.

PWL Gets Lucky with Wheel of Fortune

PWL’s creative director Luc Peumans produced the lighting and video design and worked closely with Dries Hermans of Deusjevoo on the set design, the latter involving substantial quantities of inbuilt practical lighting. These custom LED set elements were all painstakingly installed by the PWL team working in close conjunction with Deusjevoo … a complex and diligent job that paid off with vibrant, eye-catching results!

Q-Ball Cameras Capture DJ Team's Record-Breaking Comic Relief Broadcast

Six Camera Corps Q-Ball robotic heads were used to provide live coverage of a record-breaking BBC Radio 1 broadcast by Chris Moyles and Dave Vitty. Televised via the red button on digital BBC 1 and on the Radio 1 website, the presentation commenced at 5 am on Wednesday 16th March, surpassing Simon Mayo's 37-hour record for longest Radio 1 show on Thursday evening and continuing to a total 51 hours 30 minutes by 8.30 am on Friday 18th March.

Twenty-two Camera Corps speciality cameras captured Derren Brown’s ‘The Guilt Trip’ at full 1080-line high resolution for transmission on UK broadcast television on Friday 4 November. This was the third episode in a four-part series of programmes from various locations showing how easily human behaviour can be manipulated. Produced for Channel 4 by Objective Productions, ‘The Guilt Trip’ was set at Bradley House in Warminster, Wiltshire.

Quarantine Cook-along with AEG

Aiming to help inspire the increasing number of people in lockdown turning to cooking and baking, AEG collaborated with video production company Monarki Stockholm and Scandinavian Photo to help produce a multicam live stream cook-along show. Broadcasting on the AEG Global Facebook account, the six episodes have amassed hundreds of thousands of views, with the most popular “Crispy fried chicken with star chef Sebastian Gilbrand” attracting more than 135,000 watchers.

Queens of the Stone Age keep on rockin‘ with grandMA2

Formed in 1996 in Palm Desert, California, the Queens of the Stone Age developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy rock music.
