TVN Chile, one of the largest broadcast networks in Chile, installs an Acrobat digital wireless intercom from Riedel Communications. The wireless intercom system from the Wuppertal-based specialist for real-time networks replaces the former 3rd party installation that was used by TVN Chile.

Hannover-based TVN MOBILE PRODUCTION, one of Europe's largest outside broadcast fleet operators, has ordered five Leader LV5490 test instruments for use in its first UHD-HDR mobile production truck. Logic Media Solutions, Leader's Darmstadt-based channel partner, supported TVN during pre-purchase evaluation and will complete the delivery.

Calrec Audio announced today that it supplied the audio console that handled surround-sound routing for a full-scale, live-to-air production of Mozart's opera "The Abduction From the Seraglio" in two hangars at Salzburg Airport — an event that the host broadcaster called "Austria's most complex, prestigious, and important audio event in 2013." German outside broadcast (OB) company TVN Group along with cooperative partner Euro TV were responsible for the live broadcast during the 2013 Salzburg Festival. TVN installed an Artemis Beam console in a separate on-site audio container to handle the 5.1 music mix for the production and Calrec Hydra I/O boxes to feed the console.

The UEFA Champions League final – the biggest match in club football – is being contested between two of the stellar names in the world game: Real Madrid have lifted the trophy in each of the last two seasons and are looking to claim it for a record 13th time overall. Liverpool are eyeing a sixth final victory.

Hitomi Broadcast has announced that TVN LIVE PRODUCTION, one of Europe’s leading mobile production companies, has purchased three MatchBox Generator and Analyser systems - complete with MatchBox Glass licenses – for upgraded capability across its studios complexes in Hamburg and Hanover as well as in its OB trucks.  

 

Retroactive to January 1, 2024, TVN LIVE PRODUCTION GmbH is taking over the TV production company TopVision Telekommunikation GmbH & Co. KG. The brand, the company headquarters in Berlin and the management will be retained.

TVN is expanding its competence center for aerial video with a focus on the TVN Live-Copter. In addition to certified personnel, the broadcasting service provider is
investing in technical infrastructure and the further development of complex workflows. TVN is optimally positioned to produce aerial shots live and in broadcast quality.
The TVN Aerial Solutions department combines professional teams, highly innovative, highperformance technology and well-established work processes. The concept of the TVN Live-Copter is becoming increasingly important. It convinces by the implementation of a stable picture transmission in Full HD broadcast quality. Furthermore, the signal transfer was designed in such a way that the live signal (including Tally, return signal and intercom solution) can be integrated into the production process without any loss of quality. In addition to the signal quality, special attention was paid to the safety, flight duration and balance of the camera systems.

TVN Mobile Production, part of Germany’s TVN Group, is upgrading its XT3 live production server fleet to EVS' next-generation XT-VIA servers. The Hannover-based mobile television services specialist is installing the industry’s most powerful multi-channel servers in its TVN-Ü3, TVN-Ü4, TVN-Ü5 and in its all new TVN-Ü6, the most innovative OB concept on the market that has just been introduced. The new servers will be used for its premium live productions of Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 football games for DFL host broadcaster Sportcast, as well as the UEFA competitions Champions League, Europa League and European Qualifiers.
 

The special trademark of German production company TVN is its fleet of outside broadcast trucks. Designed by experienced engineers, these trucks are used throughout Europe for producing sporting events, shows and concerts for television in optimum audio and video quality. Wireless gear of Sennheiser’s 3000/5000 and 2000 series ensures that the sound engineers are perfectly equipped to meet all challenges of national and international events – even under the demanding conditions posed by the second Digital Dividend.

Additionally to increasingly improving image quality, TV channels and film producers want to offer their viewers a corresponding sound experience. To produce and continue to develop this, the TVN Group has established a 3D audio studio at its headquarters in Hannover, Germany. The studio was presented to great public interest.

TVN is strongly expanding its UHD capacities: the film and TV production company from Hannover is upgrading one of its existing OB trucks with further Sony UHD equipment. 12 UHD HDC-4300 live camera systems, two CineAlta PMW-F55 cameras, the XVS-8000 video switcher and PWS-4500 the production server system were recently integrated. The 4K equipment has already successfully completed the UHD first broadcasts of football matches for German television. The TV service provider plans to increase its mobile 4K capacities further in 2017.

Chile’s state-owned broadcaster TVN has deployed a multi-camera ingest solution from EVS, the leading provider of live video production systems. The new workflow is being used for popular TVN productions such as talent show El Mejor de Chile and game show Apuesto Por Ti.

Attracting around 70,000 visitors, Hurricane is one of the most successful music festivals in Germany. Held in Scheeßel, this year’s headliners included Arcade Fire, Volbeat, Seeed, Kraftklub, and Fettes Brot among others. TVN MOBILE PRODUCTION GmbH was in attendance with its Ü3 OB truck (equipped with a Lawo mc²66) and a mobile control room (with a Lawo mc²56) to mix the live broadcast sound from the two main stages and make multitrack recordings for later broadcast.  "The festival was perfect! We got the releases from all the bands for TV broadcasts," says Stephan Thyssen, Audio Manager at TVN.

TVN MOBILE PRODUCTIONS has acquired the new Ikegami NAC Hi-Motion II camera, offering UltraSloMotion images in broadcast quality.

TVN, a leading TV production provider, upgraded its TVN-Ü2HD OB truck for HD and 3D productions. As part of the change, the connections for set and remote operation of the 20 camera truck were switched to Riedel MediorNet. In addition, the entire audio system was completely rebuilt. The audio router is now a Lawo mc256 digital audio router; the intercom system is based on two Riedel Artist Digital Matrix Intercom mainframes (Artist 128 & Artist 32) with about 50 Artist 1000 control panels.
