OneRepublic’s headlining “Native Tour” wraps in the UK after spending last year circling the globe. The tour was programmed and operated from a grandMA2 light platform. The American pop rock band toured Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand last year in support of its third studio album, “Native.” OneRepublic’s tour has continued in 2014 with more dates in Europe and the UK.

To support these businesses, their employees and talent affected by the European club ban, the Berlin Clubcommission, Reclaim Club Culture and Berlin Worx teamed to launch the “United We Stream” fundraising initiative earlier this year, which began in Berlin, Germany but quickly expanded into 85 other European Cities globally.

“The One and Only” – Sennheiser announces D1 contest winner leeSA

“Are You D1 and Only?” This was the challenge that audio specialist Sennheiser set for bands and musicians by inviting them to take part in the “D1 and Only” contest to find the most creative cover version of the 90s pop classic “The One and Only” by Chesney Hawkes. The songs that were submitted revealed genuine vocal talents and a huge “bandwidth” of musical variety. Just about every music genre was represented – from power ballads and classic adaptations to funky hip-hop versions. 168 bands and musicians from all over the world took part in the Cover Song Contest. And Sennheiser has now found “The One and Only“ – after votes were cast by more than 50,000 fans and an expert jury.

“The Final “Qountdown” ended 2011 for the Trance and Techno scene in the Netherlands. Taking place in Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall the event, it was organised by Q-Dance. Lighting designer Tamil van Draanen was keen on giving this event, the last version of a series of Qountdowns, a special mood. Using a grandMA2 full-size and a grandMA2 light as backup gave him the assurance needed to accomplish his mission.

“ST2110 JT-NM Tested” Label for NEXUS AoIP interfaces from Stage Tec

Stage Tec, the Berlin-based manufacturer of professional audio technology, has received the label "SMPTE ST 2110 JT-NM Tested" for its XFIP/RIF67 NEXUS products at NAB. The JT-NM Tested program documents the extent to which products implement the ST2110 standard. The results were presented at the NAB IP showcase. Stage Tec participated in the ST2110-30 audio test and the ST2022-7 test with its XFIP/RIF67 NEXUS products.
