By 31 minutes Mario Gomez and Thomas Müller had struck to turn the game on its head, giving Louis van Gaal's men a handy lead – but there was a nasty sting in the tail for a side beaten by the Nerazzurri in last May's showpiece. Wesley Sneijder's 63rd-minute equaliser set the platform for Pandev, who fired high into the net as Inter became only the second club in UEFA Champions League history – and the first in 15 years – to overturn a first-leg deficit on their travels.

T-VIPS, a global leader in professional video contribution and distribution solutions, announced that its TVG450 JPEG2000 Video Gateway helped make possible the live 3D transmission of Gounod’s Faust from Stockholm’s Folkoperan opera house to the city’s Filmhuset digital cinema. The event was produced by Public Live AB, and T-VIPS’ transport solution was chosen by technology provider TwentyFourSeven. Prominent guests at the live 3D opera premiere, included Sweden’s Minister of Culture Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth and the Mayor of Stockholm, Sten Nordin. By employing new 3D technologies the cinema audience experienced a richer performance - almost as though they were present in the opera house.

FIS Nordic Skiing World Championships in Holmenkollen with systems from Electro-Voice

The Holmenkollen neighbourhood of Oslo, a venue with a rich sporting tradition, played host to the World Nordic Skiing Championships from February 24 to March 6, 2011, and event organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS). According to the organizers, around 300,000 fans attended the various competitions, with millions more following the event on television. With more than 650 athletes from over 60 different countries competing and around 2,000 representatives of the media in Norway to cover the event, this was one of the largest sporting events on record. With medals disputed by both men and women in over twenty disciplines in the categories Ski Jumping, Cross-Country and Nordic Combined, and a lavish fringe programme of cultural events in and around the newly designed National Arena in Holmenkollen as well as in downtown Oslo, visitors had no excuse to be bored.
