HSL is delighted to be on the road again as lighting suppliers with Scottish rockers Simple Minds and their long time lighting designer Stephen Pollard who has created another innovative look for the band’s acclaimed new “Walk Between Worlds” album.
Blackmagic Design today announced that IMAG projection for the 2018 X Factor live arena tour was produced with a PPU, built around an ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K with ATEM 2 M/E Broadcast Panel. Live acquisition was delivered by an HD multicam set up which included the URSA Broadcast.
The Zagreb Festival is the oldest entertainment music festival in Croatia and has been running annually since 1953. It was modelled on the world famous Sanremo Festival and is the most significant event on the calendar for composers and songwriters and attracts a wide range of national and local singing talent. Lighting, set and visuals were designed this year by Miro Hrg, with the full production technical package – including a complete Robe moving light rig - supplied by one of the top Croatian rental companies, Promo Logistika.

Charlie Daniels’ Volunteer Jam has seen many different iterations over four decades, but none have been as distinct as Volunteer Jam XX: A Tribute to Charlie. Produced by Blackbird Events, Bandit Lites was proud to provide the lighting for the Country Music Hall of Fame member’s twentieth installment of Volunteer Jam which featured a setlist of over thirty songs from a diverse and talented lineup including Travis Tritt, Chris Young, Alison Krauss, Lee Brice, Chris Janson, Justin Moore, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Alabama, The Oak Ridge Boys and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The halftime event at the Super Bowl is an annual cultural benchmark, and the Pepsi Super Bowl LII Halftime Show that took place on February 4, 2018, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis saw featured performer and GRAMMY® winner Justin Timberlake zoom through a medley of 11 songs supported by scores of singers, dancers and even the University of Minnesota Marching Band. It was a big show, and the sound was held together through an extensive Dante™ networked audio infrastructure featuring components from Focusrite’s RedNet range of Dante-networked audio converters and interfaces. The system, which was also used for Pink’s “Star-Spangled Banner” performance and other moments throughout the evening, was deployed by ATK Audiotek, the longtime provider of the Super Bowl’s live-sound productions.

The new 8,500 capacity Sun Arena in Pretoria, South Africa features a house moving light rig of 90 dynamic Robe fixtures, which are at the disposal of all events utilising the state-of-the-art multipurpose venue, part of Sun International’s Time Square development and entertainment complex. The Robes are integral to a complete turnkey technical package specified and supplied to the venue by Robe’s South African distributor DWR to operators Sun International. This encompassed a cutting-edge, rider-friendly lighting system, trussing, rigging, follow spots and power distribution.
The Claypaky Scenius Unico made its official debut in Argentina at the renowned Monsters of Rock (MOR) Argentina festival at Tecnópolis, Buenos Aires. The high-impact light show for the outdoor festival, part of the global Monsters of Rock movement, was designed by lighting designer Bryan Hartley and featured the Scenuis Unico as the show's high impact workhorse fixture.
