Live HD Feeds from Expo Dubai 2020 Available through TVU Networks’ Cloud-based Services
TVU Networks, the market and technology leader in cloud and IP-based live video solutions, announced that live, HD video feeds of events held during the global festival Expo Dubai 2020 will now be accessible through TVU MediaSource, a cloud-based platform for live and archived rights-enabled video content from global media organizations. Expo organizers cited larger audience numbers from the event’s TVU feeds than through traditional satellite methods.
Italy’s Mediaset selects ARET to upgrade studios with Lawo IP broadcast infrastructure
Mediaset, Italy’s largest commercial broadcaster, has upgraded three of their Virgin Radio studios. Equipment includes three ruby audio broadcast consoles, a Power Core DSP mixing engine, and VisTool visualization and control software, which will be the backbone of a fully IP-based production unit. Also included are Lawo RƎLAY virtual radio solutions, which will permit hardware-independent on-air and production work.
South African Horse Racing Captured By Multicam URSA Broadcast System
Blackmagic Design today announced that major horse racing meets at some of South Africa’s most prestigious venues are being broadcast live with a fleet of Blackmagic URSA Broadcast cameras. Live production specialist EFX Productions has devised an IP based 4K broadcast solution that includes a fixed gallery infrastructure at the Fairview racecourse in Nelson Mandela Bay, and an outside broadcasting (OB) truck that alternates between Kenilworth and Durbanville racecourses in Cape Town.
New UHD/HDR OB van from MMG equipped with Lawo Audio-over-IP technology
Media Mobil GmbH, specializing in the production and broadcast of sporting, cultural and entertainment events, has placed Lawo AoIP audio infrastructure at the heart of its new flagship OB van, dubbed “UHD1”. Lawo equipment onboard includes an mc²56 production console with 48 faders, with three WAN-capable A__stage 64 units serving as internal and external stage boxes, while a Lawo A__madi6 brings in audio from the Riedel system, EVS VIA video server, and the video control room.
