Robert Juliat is happy to announce the appointment of AED Distribution as its official distributor for the Benelux countries, with effect from 1 January 2014.

From 1st June 2013, DWR has assumed responsibility for sales activity across South Africa, promoting and supporting the full range of Robert Juliat lighting equipment.

Robert Juliat would like to announce the latest addition to the Robert Juliat distributor family with the appointment of Electric Claudio Merlo Lighting Equipment SA (ECM) as its new distributor for Switzerland.

Prolight+Sound will see the official launch of Robert Juliat’s extended TIBO range, a comprehensive range of modular fixtures that introduce the idea of the Creative Concept Light.

Robert Juliat will be exhibiting at ProLight + Sound alongside its German partner, Lightpower, in the Lightpower Village (Hall 11.0 Stand D76). Robert Juliat will exhibit its range of lighting fixtures and showcase its world-leading expertise in followspot design with examples of its Lancelot, Cyrano and Victor followspots on the stand.

Robert Juliat will be out in full force in support of the 20th Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt, where the company will exhibit alongside its German partners, Lightpower GmbH, in Hall 11 Stand D76.

Robert Juliat returns to Frankfurt in 2016, in a new location, where it will celebrate the show’s re-imagined layout with its German distributor, Lightpower GmbH, in the Lightpower Village (Hall 3 Stand C44).

It’s been a number of years since Robert Juliat brought the full force of its followspots to a tradeshow, but Prolight + Sound 2017 will see these specialists showcase an army of their followspots, old and new, that have secured its place in the industry for many decades.

As the newly-located PLASA show opened its doors last week at London’s ExCel Centre, Robert Juliat was happy to report superlative results. “The show provided an excellent forum to meet our many international partners from Robert Juliat’s Family of distributors,” says Robert Juliat Sales Director, Claus Spreyer. “We were very impressed with the range of visitors to our stand who came from almost every part of the globe including Eastern, Northern and Southern European countries, South Africa, Asia, South America, USA, Canada and the Middle East.”

It wouldn’t be the Fourth of July without the “Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular,” and Robert Juliat Cyrano followspots helped light up the annual event, which was televised live from the Charles River Esplanade.

At the end of August an exciting event took place at Al Habtoor City in the heart of Dubai. La Perle, the spectacular new acrobatic water show from Franco Dragone, opened its doors for the first time in a purpose-built, 1300-seat, theatre designed by renowned set designer, Jean Rabasse, and executed by Khatib and Alami Architects and theatre consultants Auerbach Pollock Friedlander. Robert Juliat is proud to be a part of it, with four of its Cyrano 2500W HMI chosen as La Perle’s followspots.

Hosted by Ana Brenda Contreras, Victor Manuelle and Yalitza Aparicio, the 21st Latin Grammy Awards were celebrated in late November to honour the cream of the Latin music scene. This year saw a rather different format from the usual star-studded occasion due to the dictates of the COVID-19 pandemic: to ensure the safety of the artists and the production team, the nominees were showcased to the world in a remote, live broadcast by Univision from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, with breakout performances streamed from other cities throughout Latin America.  
 

Award-winning lighting designer, Tim Routledge, has made brilliant and original use of Robert Juliat Dalis 862 Footlight fixtures on Florence and the Machine’s current High as Hopetour, by utilising the 150W LED Dalis’ variable white tones to light the 8-strong band. The English indie rock band’s eclectic music switches between the ethereal and the energetic, at times dreamy, or effervescent, with Routledge’s lighting marking out rhythmic beats or subtly backlighting the band and set.
