Broadcast Pix Introduces BPswitch IX Integrated Production Switcher with Expanded IP Connectivity at NAB2019
Broadcast Pix™ will introduce the newest model in the BPswitch integrated production switcher product family, BPswitch™ IX, at the 2019 NAB Show (Booth SL4210), which runs April 8-11 in Las Vegas, Nev. Designed for productions that rely on IP-based workflows and remote cameras, BPswitch IX features six network inputs that support NDI and RTSP sources.

Austin-Peay State University Delivers Hands-On, Educational Production Experiences with Hitachi HDTV Cameras
The Department of Communication at Austin-Peay State University (APSU) is proud to offer students real-world, hands-on experience in a full array of television and sports broadcasting disciplines. Building on positive experience with cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) in the university’s athletic arenas, the department has expanded its use of Hitachi cameras into its instructional television studio by purchasing three new Z-HD5000s.

PHABRIX will launch a V3.0 software release for its flagship Qx rasterizer at NAB 2019, offering the latest hybrid IP/SDI test and measurement tools. The Qx, now with support for SMPTE 2110 (-20, -30, -31, -40), ST 2059 Precision Time protocol (PTP) and two-port ST 2022-7 seamless protection, provides the simultaneous monitoring of 1 video, 2 audio and 1 ANC data flow in up to 16 active and scalable windows. The two audio flows support up to 16 channels each at 1ms and 125us with either PCM or AES3 Transport. The latest features also include operator status information for PTP, 2022-7 seamless reconstruction and the timing relationship of flows to PTP.
