Based in Hilversum’s Media Park centre, Facility House is a full-service broadcast services company and the third largest provider in the Dutch TV broadcast market. After a short transition period, Facility House will be rebranded as NEP and become part of the NEP The Netherlands division.

Call for Presentations Now Open for IP Showcase, 2019NAB Show

Industry partners, the Audio Engineering Society (AES), the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Society of Motion Picture and Technology Engineers® (SMPTE®), and the Video Services Forum (VSF) — all co-sponsors of the IP Showcase at the 2019 NAB Show — today announced a call for presentations for the event. The IP Showcase is an education and demonstration pavilion at the NAB Show in Las Vegas that will highlight the benefits of and momentum behind the move to standards-based IP for real-time professional media applications. The submission deadline for speaking proposals is Feb. 25.

When Richmond, Indiana-based public, education and government (PEG) access broadcaster Whitewater Community Television (WCTV) set out to improve the visual quality of their productions, they purchased three Z-HD5000 HDTV cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) to achieve their goals. The resulting quality and outstanding sensitivity of the Hitachi cameras have WCTV staff hoping to add more Z-HD5000s in the future, and may save the station money on other planned studio upgrades by reducing lighting requirements.
