HyperSlow for Blackmagic HyperDeck
posted:
New in version 2 is a tight integration of ATEM switchers. When using the “SuperPlay” function, HyperSlow can take over the control of the ATEM and switch program to the right HyperDeck at the correct time, as well as control performance of stinger and other transformations. The number of “event keys” for tagging important moments in an event has been increased from 4 to 6.

A new communication layer has been integrated for users with timecode-less cameras. HyperSlow app is able to control Blackmagic Hyperdeck Studio and Studio Pro. The Hyperdeck Mini is planned for January 2018.
HyperSlow basics
HyperDecks are connected to an iPad using Wi-Fi or a separate LAN connection. A tagging function allows to mark important moments in the time line with one of six user definable event types. In record mode, the button “Stop Reverse” allows the user to jump before a tagged event to start play back in slow motion. The jump time can be freely defined. With image rates of 50/60 fps and playback speed of 50% good slow motion results can be achieved. An additional function is the export of the list of tagged events as Excel file to e.g. use them in Adobe Premiere to find marked events.
