AJA Releases Mini-Config v2.21.2 Software Update Extending Mini-Converter Features

Mini-Config v2.21.2 expands the range of gear 12GM users can leverage in production, post, broadcast and ProAV by enabling conversion between Square Division and 2SI. The feature enhancement also allows users to plug into the back of a SDI display and monitor in HD with the full composition of the 4K source. In addition, Mini-Config v2.21.2 brings a new analysis tool to 12GM that displays timing differences between multiple SDI inputs up to +/- half a video frame, so users can more quickly identify timing issues. New improvements to AJA’s Hi5-3D dual HD-SDI to 3D multiplexer are included in the update, and allow users to swap left/right SDI inputs using the free Mini-Config software and/or the converter’s dipswitch controls.

“A majority of 4K/UltraHD cameras have four 3G-SDI outputs, but as more manufacturers embrace 2SI, Quadrant to 2SI/2SI to Quadrant pixel mapping with 12GM is becoming more important. Our latest Mini-Config update gives 12GM users the flexibility to work with both in the field,” shared Nick Rashby, president, AJA Video Systems.

Mini-Config v2.21.2 is available as a free download today from the AJA website. 12GM and Hi5-3D are available through AJA’s worldwide reseller network for US MSRP $895 and $495 respectively.
