BPM sells first Panasonic 4K studio cameras to vision tools

As the first company in Europe, BPM sells the Panasonic AK-UC3000 4K studio cameras to the dry-hire rental company vision tools from Hamburg. With these, the rental company sustainably increases its existing portfolio. BPM in turn emphasizes its own consulting expertise.

The long-standing and trusting business relationship between vision tools and BPM has received a further common milestone with the purchase of the Panasonic AK-UC3000. Vision tools recognized the customer need for 4K at a very early stage and sought advise from BPM on the advantages and future viability of 4K.

The Panasonic AK-UC3000, which was first presented in Europe at the IBC 2015, was quickly selected during the consultation process. Especially convincing for vision tools was the fact that they will purchase a camera, which can operate in 1080/50P as well as in 4K. With the 3000 system camera, vision tools covers the most varied customer needs in the live production segment on a long-term basis.

Stephan Schlueter, CEO at vision tools, comments: “We have waited for the AK-UC3000’s technical specifications and features for a long time. In recent years, we have already had very positive results with the Panasonic HD system cameras, which Mr. Bruhse presented to us at the time. Hence, we now have full confidence in the new product. That is why, in 2015, we ordered the camera systems with BPM without having seen them before.”

Lars Bruhse, Key Account Manager at BPM, on the AK-UC3000’s future: “With the 3000 4K camera system, one can position oneself securely for the future with a moderate additional cost in comparison to established HD camera systems. I therefore believe that the 3000 will capture a large market share. This is conformed also by the great number of binding pre-orders.“
