Big Blue Madness Shines With Bandit Lites
posted:
Bandit Lites has provided the lighting package for the stellar scrimmage for the last five years, striving each year to match the energy and excitement of Kentucky’s fans. Lighting designer Aaron Swetland configured a rig that did the all-important task of illuminating the court, but also filled the arena with beams of light.
One unique aspect of the event comes from the fact that the only colors used throughout the whole occasion are blue and white, calling for Swetland to focus more on fixtures that could provide opulent, saturating hues.
Lighting provided included VL 3000 Spots, Chauvet Legend 230SR Beams, Bandit’s exclusive GRNLite Moving Washes, Martin MAC Auras, Elation ACL 360 Bars and a Grand MA Command Wing console for control.

Bandit’s crew for Big Blue Madness included Sarah Eucker, Greg Ogne and Nikki Dotson while additional support came from Project Manager Don Lockridge.
“There’s no question that Kentucky’s basketball team sets the standard athletically, and we are proud to be one part of the production team put together Bob Stoops that helps celebrate such a fine institution,” said Bandit’s Brent Barrett. “It’s an event I look forward to every year.”
