Ross Announces Virtual Career Fair to Support Recruitment Drive

The pandemic and associated restrictions have taken their toll on almost every company regardless of location, and Ross has also felt their effects. That said, the company started 2020 in a very positive position following a record-breaking year in 2019 and, remarkably, Ross still managed to achieve modest growth in 2020, albeit at a much lower level than any of the previous twenty-eight years. “The pandemic has been a challenging and painful bump in the road,” notes CEO David Ross, “but we have to see it as a bump rather than an event that disrupts our medium-to-long term plans.”

With this in mind, Ross is today pleased to announce the launch of a virtual careers fair that will be held online on March 30th, 2021. Ross intends to break through the one thousand employee barrier before this summer, and currently has approximately one hundred vacancies to fill throughout 2021 across both technical and commercial disciplines. “We have steadily grown our employee base internationally as we have sought to get closer to our customers and provide them with greater local and regional resource,” comments Cathy McCallion, who is responsible for recruitment strategy at Ross. “We’ve opened new facilities and also bolstered our R&D and engineering teams to ensure that we can accelerate the delivery of the next generation of hardware and cloud-based solutions.”

Throughout this pandemic Ross has launched some of the most innovative solutions in its forty-seven-year history – the new TouchDrive production switcher, the Ultrix Acuity hyper converged production platform and the Interstellar cloud-based production portal – and there is plenty more to come. “This careers fair will give potential applicants the chance to learn more about our company and our culture,” says McCallion, “as well as showing us what they can bring to Ross as we look to the future and get back on our traditional growth track. We’re really look forward to meeting everyone at the end of this month, and would encourage possible applicants, in Canada and around the word, to register early.”
