ProRes RAW gains momentum with added features and workflow enhancements in Adobe Premiere Pro

Atomos has led the ProRes RAW charge in 2020 releasing a barrage of ProRes RAW recording combinations together with partners like Sony, Panasonic, Nikon, Z-Cam, FujiFilm and Sigma. Over this time, ProRes RAW has been steadily gaining momentum with more than 20 camera models now available and an ever-increasing array of controls available in editing and grading.

ProRes RAW combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video with the incredible real-time performance of ProRes to give Atomos users even more flexibility in their workflows. This format gives filmmakers enormous latitude when adjusting the look of their images and extending brightness and shadow detail, making it ideal for HDR workflows.

With recently added features and workflow enhancements in Premiere Pro, Atomos creators and editors can be more creative and flexible than ever with ProRes RAW content. Getting started with ProRes RAW in Premiere Pro is as simple as shooting with a compatible camera, using the HDR tools on the Atomos Ninja V to expose correctly, record ProRes RAW to SSD and then dock and drop the footage straight onto the timeline in Premiere Pro. You’ll have fine control over colour decision making, exposure control and all of this without asking your camera operators to overhaul their current method of capture.
