Innovation in remote live production for broadcasters

Tubicon continues to develop in an interesting way. Particularly in the mobile broadcast sector, it is gradually gaining a foothold on a large scale. A significant development at TUBICON is the support of NDI®. With this integration, it is now possible to mix mobile and studio production and thus generate a new, highly professional broadcast experience.

NDI® support is based on the use of PTZ cameras. PTZ is an acronym for pan, tilt and zoom, which reflects the cameras movement options. These cameras, which are capable of remote directional and zoom control, are directly controllable from TUBICON. With a stream client the NDI® supporting PTZ camera connects directly to TUBICON. With this gateway application and its complimentary interface the NDI® supported camera is controllable simply by mouse click in the Tubicon platform. In addition to manual control via joystick and the integrated zoom option, the creation of presets is also possible, offering rapid playback of programmed camera settings.

Through the NDI® and PTZ support of TUBICON and the cooperation with sister company Vizrt, professional mobile live production gains targeted comprehensive mobility. With the easy handling of the provided gateway application and an immediate integration of the interface in the Tubicon platform, this innovative solution increases the user friendliness and usability significantly.
