EVS to highlight how its latest broadcast technology enriches content at CabSat2015

EVS, the leading provider of live video production systems, will be highlighting its latest broadcast technology at CABSAT 2015

Demonstrations on the EVS booth (A4-20) during the show between 10-12 March 2015, will show how using EVS technology can create an enriched live programming experience. EVS’ powerful production servers, content management solutions and multiplatform distribution tools will feature alongside digital archive management tools and the brand new OB tool, Truck Manager.

Future Proof productions with XT3 & XS servers
Content providers need the peace of mind of knowing that their workflows are scalable and future-proof, allowing them to easily transition to future standards and formats. With the introduction of its new range of XT3 and XS servers primarily aimed at OB and live studio operations, EVS has again delivered the greatest flexibility possible in one box. Both new servers offer extended format support and capabilities including 4K, 1080p and proxy, as well as new 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and up to 12 HD/SD live recording channels. This allows customers to transition to the next generation of industry standards and workflows as needed.

Content Management for Live Production
Designed for live and fast turnaround production, the latest generation of IPDirector offers a wealth of new capabilities and modules. These include web-based remote browsing and content exchange, automated clip management, archive import/export and seamless integration with EVS’ XStore scalable storage solution.

EVS’ IPDirector also guarantees advanced interoperability between production and post-production with the new EXPORT feature from IPLink for Adobe and the support of growing files in FCP-X. As a result, editors can access media directly from their editing stations, create advanced edits, which can be pushed back to the EVS environment for playout.

Multimedia Distribution Platform with C-Cast

New Truck Manager Setup Tool
Truck Manager is a new software application that detects all EVS devices in an OB van and enables the engineer to configure them from a laptop to meet the needs of the production. Once complete, settings are stored and can be recalled at any time, facilitating the setup for subsequent production teams.

Digital Archive Management
Also at the show, EVS will be highlighting its digital archive tools. MediaArchive Director allows for content digitization and storage, and IP2Archive – an IPDirector module – which adds digital archive management to an existing IPDirector workflow.
