EVS - Connecting the Live at IBC2016

EVS to Showcase Latest in IP Connected Live Production, New 4K and HDR Toolset as well as Advanced Multimedia Distribution

During IBC2016 EVS invites you to its stand 8.B90, which will act as an IP-enabled hub showcasing live media flows that connect live sports venues, broadcast center control rooms and consumers. By connecting the live environment, EVS technology enables better storytelling and an enriched viewing experience.

Introduced this summer at international flagship sporting events, C-Next is the brand new live connected tool that reflects the power of EVS’ IP4Live strategic initiative. This contribution network platform gives remote teams the ability to share files and metadata content over IP, from any OB truck, broadcast centre or production HQ.

Enabling more creative and productive program assembly based on a pooled resources model, DYVI will be demonstrated in full 4K/UHD mode on the EVS stand.

EVS’ newsroom production solutions, including the latest features of its IPDirector live content management system for multiformat and multisource ingest, will be demonstrated at stand 8.B90 and will power IBC TV’s ingest, playout and multimedia delivery. The EVS stand will also host a data center connected through fiber to the IBC TV studio in hall 13 and the VRT-EBU LiveIP studio located on stand 8.D10.

Today’s programming isn’t simply being delivered in a single broadcast - audiences are now everywhere, all the time, watching whatever they want. At IBC2016, visitors to the EVS stand will be introduced to C-Cast Syndication which allows broadcasters and media rights holders to expand their audiences - and revenue. This is achieved through the distribution of near-live multi-angles and highlight VoD to affiliated partners like regional and unilateral broadcasters as well as sports teams, leagues and federations. EVS is once more showing how it’s leading the way to innovative distribution models for enhancing the live experience, engaging audiences and generating new revenue streams across multiple platforms.
