Ross Video and Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment Drive the Draft
posted:
As part of the video production, VWSE have deployed the Ultrix routing/AV processing platform, Carbonite Mosaic video processor and XPression Tessera real-time graphics rendering solution to drive all the on-set LED displays (an incredible total pixel count of 28 Million and the largest Tessera deployment to date!), with everything being controlled via DashBoard, Ross Video’s ward winning software control system. Ross also supplied Carbonite production switchers to cut live concert segments, as well as XPression Studio graphics to provide content to the many large LED displays temporarily installed across six city blocks for the fans that have travelled to Nashville for the event. In addition, a fan experience production – being held at the Nissan Stadium not far from the main draft stage on First and Broadway – is also being driven by a host of Ross Sports Venue Solutions.

Commenting on the various productions, Nate McCourt, Producer with VWSE, emphasizes the quality of the relationship with Ross Video. “Van Wagner's longstanding relationship with Ross allows us to push the limits on many of our one-off events, giving us the ability to utilize technology and workflows typically seen only in permanent applications. Leveraging the power of XPression Tessera's real-time render engine and Dashboard Control allows us to dynamically update numerous graphic looks for all 32 teams at the push of a button.”

Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment has been connecting brands to sports for over twenty years. Our parent company, Van Wagner Group, was the largest privately held out-of-home advertising company in the country, responsible for transforming Time Square and creating some of the most memorable advertising in the world. When Van Wagner first entered the sports landscape, we used our outdoor creativity and expertise to develop unique signage in live sporting events and creative new ways for brands to reach sports fans. We were best known for our highly visible home plate signage in Major League Baseball and courtside signage in the NBA and NCAA and for developing the much acclaimed college football field goal net program.
Since our early days in sports, we have grown well beyond our in–game signage roots. Today we offer a wide range of services across the sports landscape. We not only remain the worlds’ experts in TV-visible signage, but we are industry leaders in naming rights and sponsorship sales, stadium construction and development, media sales, collegiate multimedia rights, video production, ticket sales and various other aspects of the sports industry.
