The Mediapro Group Distributed the Broadcast Signal for the European F1 Grand Prix

For the fourth consecutive year, Mediapro was the official Host Broadcaster for the European Grand Prix providing international signal distribution services for both national and international broadcasters covering the event as well as logistical and technical support.
The group provided services to a host of national and international networks at the race in Valencia including: Antena 3, TV3, TF1 (France), RAI (Italy), SKY (Germany), RTL (Germany), ZDF (Germany), ORF (Austria), BBC (UK), SKY (UK), GLOBO (Brazil), FUJI (Japan) and CCTV (China).

The Mediapro Group team, made up of 20 staff, also provided technical assistance in the TV Compound, managed the work of the OB vans and the more than 30 commentary booths. In addition, it also built a play-outs studio equipped to provide assistance in all the usual F1 formats. The event signal was relayed around the world.

For the fourth consecutive year, Unitecnic, also provided design, installation, and technical support services for the broadcast infrastructure at the TV Compound for the distribution of the international signals of the all broadcasters. In addition, Unitecnic also provided services for the distribution of the event and international audio needs for the 30 commentary booths at the track.
The entire infrastructure provided was in full HD as the whole event production was broadcast in high definition just as in 2011. The system was able to distribute three different feeds: WIF (Wide International Feed), NIF (Narrow International Feed) and the programme signal for the big screens around the track. The infrastructure provided allowed the WIF and NIF signals to be sent to 20 different destinations.

As on other occasions, the needs of the event required the highest possible levels of quality to be able to guarantee the optimal functioning of the system for the entire event coverage. Eumóvil, Media Móvil, Medialuso, Mediaconti and GOL T were all part of the team and played key roles in the success of the event.
