Luc Lafortune is unanimously considered one of the most creative lighting designers of the last thirty years. His approach to lighting design features elements that are so artistic that it is defined as "poetry". It is inspired by a careful philological analysis of the show, which is then combined with a painstaking search for colours and atmospheres.
Luc Lafortune has worked with Cirque du Soleil since far-off 1984, when the "Cirque" took its first steps. Since then, he has made a vital contribution to creating its myth by working on several productions that have gained international fame. However his work extends to many projects, even in the world of touring, theatre, and big events, where his accomplishments always stand out for their creativity and originality.
