Electro-Voice Brings Big Sound to the Big Top

UniCredit jamboree in a circus tent

This year, the UniCredit Group staged its annual jamboree in a giant circus tent. TC Showtechnik deployed Electro-Voice XLD and XLE compact line arrays and two N8000-1500 loudspeaker controllers to provide the sound reinforcement„ Martin Schulze of TC Showtechnik commented: “The Electro-Voice systems proved themselves yet again!”

The Italian winter resort of Madonna die Campiglio was the setting for the recent annual gathering of the UniCredit Group. Sporting activities kept guests entertained throughout the day, whilst in the evening the Italy-based banking organization laid on an exquisite buffet accompanied by live music and acrobatic displays in a 7,000-square-metre circus tent.

To ensure the technical networking and implementation did justice to the occasion, for the third year running the UniCredit Group hired TC Showtechnik of Weilheim to handle both electrification and lighting and sound production.

With no fewer than eighteen masts holding it aloft, the big top was furnished with XLD and XLE compact line array loudspeaker systems from Electro-Voice. These were supported by PX1122M and PX1152M multi-purpose loudspeakers, whilst the requisite sound pressure in the low-frequency range was supplied by Xsubs. The system was driven by amp racks loaded with CP3000S, CP4000S, CPS4.10, CPS8.5, and TG7 power amplifiers from Electro-Voice. Loudspeaker supervision was handled by two EV N8000-1500 controllers with FIR-Drive filters

once more to the delight of TC Showtechnik boss Martin Schulze: “The N8000-1500 functions perfectly every time. I know of no system with which you can work more creatively and realize literally all your acoustic ideas without encountering problems.” And as for the Electro-Voice loudspeaker systems? “They proved themselves yet again,” says Schulze. “They’re versatile, easy to work with, absolutely reliable, and provide outstanding audio reproduction. The customer was satisfied – and so most certainly were we!”
