BCE received awards at the ART&TUR Festival

The ART&TOUR Winners 2010

BCE received three awards at the International Tourism Film Festival (ART&TUR) in Barcelos, Portugal, for the short film “Is it true what they say about Luxembourg?” The film project is based on the use of Luxembourg’s prejudices to describe the real story about the country. The project presents Luxembourg through 10 short films ranging from tourism, business, finance, life, to wines, holidays, etc… Each production has its own identity with high emotion and modern style.

ART&TUR is a project promoted by APTUR (Portuguese Tourism Association), with the high patronage of the Municipality of Barcelos.

The ART&TUR Festival is member of CIFFT – International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals, a worldwide network of 12 international film festivals, which organizes every year the Festival of Festivals, in Vienna.

The first edition, held in September 2008, was a great success. In 2009, the second edition of ART&TUR, the public was surprised by the high quality of the film exhibitions and the diversity of countries (168 films from 38 countries) as well as by the richness and variety of cultural events: photo exhibitions, conferences, tourism book fair, dance and music performances and taste of typical dishes.

The film was awarded with the best destination film prize, the best sound prize and a special prize for the wine category with the clip “Is it true what they say about Luxembourgish Wine?”
