Ross Video Announces Native IP Support with AcuityIP and CarboniteIP
posted:
Connectivity to COTS IP fabric is provided via standard 10GbE SFP+ interfaces with integrated discovery and registration of streams using open control protocols such as NMOS, EmBER+, and DashBoard. An optional aggregation switch can also be added to provide efficient 40GbE or 100GbE interfaces to a core or spine switch.
“Unlike competing solutions, AcuityIP and CarboniteIP require no compromise on I/O capacity, flexibility, or processing capability - retaining all the exceptional I/O processing features of their SDI family members/variants,” stated Nigel Spratling, Director of Production Switchers and Video Servers, Ross Video. “In addition, users are able to mix and match IP and SDI interfaces, so each switcher may be used to connect directly to legacy SDI equipment as required, making it ideal for hybrid installations.”
