PHABRIX Qx IP V3.0 rasterizer wins 2019 NAB Show Product of the Year and successfully passes JT-NM SMPTE ST 2110 testing

PHABRIX, a worldwide leader in test and measurement solutions, is pleased to confirm that its leading test and measurement rasterizer, Qx, with the latest V3.0 software has been successfully ‘JT-NM Tested’ as an end point, underlining the company’s commitment to demonstrating SMPTE standards compliance. Qx IP V3.0, featuring the latest in Hybrid IP/SDI test and measurement tools is also a Best New Hardware Infrastructure Technology winner in the 2019 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards.

Qx V3.0 Advanced IP Measurement Tools
Qx, with its latest V3.0 software release is world’s first fully flexible rasterizer for hybrid IP/SDI analysis, and video/audio monitoring, for environments that require 4K/UHD (12G/6G/3G-SDI), HD-SDI as well as SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2022-7, ST 2059 (PTP) and ST 2022-6 formats. Its feature set provides ST 2059 (PTP), decapsulation of 1 video, 2 audio and 1 ANC Data flows with support for ST 2110-20 (Uncompressed Video), -30 (PCM Digital Audio), -31 (AES3 Transparent transport) and -40 (ANC Data). ST 2022-7 seamless protection is provided for all four flows over two media network interfaces. The Qx also provides ST 2110-40 (ANC Status, ANC Inspector, Display of Closed Caption Text) and ST 2110-31 Channel Status Analysis.

Audio reception conforms to 2110-30 Class C with support for 48Khz streams from 1 to 8 channels at packet times of 1ms and 1 to 64 channels at packet times of 125us. Fast PTP locking time is provided, with a 1PPS GPI output and real time indication of PTP estimated phase offset. The core 2110 IP toolset also provides indication of the timing relationship of each of the eight 2022-7 flows to PTP with status information, as well as a 2022-7 status tool that reports the health and relative timing skew of each 2022-7 pair.

Advanced Qx ST 2110 measurement tools include the provision of up to four simultaneous Packet Interval Timing measurement and displays, detailed data reporting of flow packet, clock rates and PTP timing relationship, as well as IP Receive statistics that includes the measurements of the ST 2110-21 Network Compatibility model (Cinst) and Virtual Receiver Buffer Model (VRX).

JT-NM Tested Program
PHABRIX’s is pleased to announce its Qx V3.0 rasterizer has been successfully tested in the JT-NM Tested Program as an end point. The JT-NM Tested Program, a program designed by the Joint Task Force on Networked Media (JT-NM), offers prospective purchasers of IP-based equipment more and better-documented insight into how vendor equipment aligns to the SMPTE ST 2110 and SMPTE ST 2059 standards. The results, published in the NAB 2019 JT-NM Tested Catalog, show that PHABRIX’s Qx IP V3.0 is the only test and measurement product to support four flows simultaneously: 1 x Video, 2 x Audio, 1 x ANC flows, and to support -20, -30, -40 with 2022-7 on all four flows.
