New Sola 4 Fresnel Fixture
posted:
Litepanels will be presenting the new Sola 4 that features a 10cm Fresnel lens and is based on the same breakthrough technology as Litepanels’ award-winning Sola 6, but in a smaller, more lightweight form factor. It provides the controllability and light-shaping, single shadow properties inherent in a Fresnel light, focusing from 70 to 10 degrees. Sola 4 requires just 30W of power, yet provides the luminance output of a 250W conventional tungsten or 150W HMI Fresnel. Litepanels will also be exhibiting the rest of the Sola range including the Sola ENG. The Sola ENG uses a 7.62cm Fresnel lens and weighs just 0.28kg, making it ideal for on-camera use. The larger Sola 6 Fresnel utilizes a 15.24cm Fresnel lens and produces an output equivalent to a 650W conventional Fresnel, yet draws just 75W.
Another highlight: the sleek camera-mounted Croma that features variable color temperature output from daylight (5600°K) to tungsten (3200°K). Croma is a versatile solution for run-and-gun news shooters, event videographers or still photographers who move rapidly from one light environment to the next without time to change lighting equipment. Plus, this self-contained light can be a secret weapon on any set or location wherever effective fill is needed.

Also at the show: the Hilio High Output LED light, capable of throwing high-quality illumination over a 6 to 7.5m distance, perfect for both studio and location production environments with demanding lighting requirements. Hilio provides the advantages of Litepanels proprietary LED technology, while remaining incredibly energy efficient. Hilio draws a paltry 125W, yet provides the luminance output of a 1000W conventional tungsten or 650W HMI.
