New Lawo Products at the Tonmeister 2010

Presentation of product range in Leipzig, November 25-28

At this year’s Tonmeister Convention (Tonmeistertagung – TMT), at booth 21 / Level 0, Lawo will be showing new products and also their complete product range.

For the first time at a German trade show, Lawo will present the newest member of their on-air console family, the sapphire. The system offers appealing functions and proven Lawo technology with a fresh design.

Also on show will be the new Nova29, a compact 16-port MADI router, delivering transparent signal routing for 1024 x 1024 signals, an integral intercom function, and many easy service features. It can be used as a stand-alone unit with third-party equipment or networked seamlessly with Lawo on-air consoles, enabling extraordinarily homogenous studio networking.

On the Lawo booth visitors will be able to familiarise themselves with the release candidate 4.12 demonstrated on the mc²66 MKII and the mc²90. The latter console you will find in the Demo Room 14 on level +2. The new 4.12 SW release provides many new features such as the new AMBIT function –the DSP module for the upmix of stereo signals to fully-fledged surround signals. In his lecture “Lawo AMBIT: from Stereo to full 5.1”, Christian Struck, Product Manager mc² series, will give you more insight in this function. Also available on the Lawo booth for hands-on lessons will be a mc²56 mixing system.

In addition, Lawo will also present its first iPhone App. This App can remote-control faders, load snapshots and trigger many custom functions such as ‘Routing Connects’ or GPIs. Thus the iPhone becomes an additional user panel for mc² consoles.

Also on show will be the Lawo Plug-in Collection. Lawo plug-ins enable users to experience the benefits and audio quality of Lawo’s mc² series on their own digital audio workstations (DAWs).

At Leipzig, Lawo’s crystal console, designed for on-air radio and edit suite applications, will be shown in its 12-fader version. The proven zirkonXL broadcast- and production console will be also on show.

Like in Amsterdam, Lawo will present itself also as RAVENNA partner. Learn more about this new technology for the distribution of audio and other media contents in IP-based environments on the Lawo booth.
