A new audio season for Münster

German municipal theatre opts for MEDIAGROUP as general contractor to renew its audio technology

The theatre of the city of Münster, Germany, uses the summer break to renew its audio, lighting and stage technology and has opted for SALZBRENNER STAGETEC MEDIAGROUP as general contractor for the audio part. The contract involves the replacement of a thirteen years old CANTUS console by a powerful AURUS desk with 48 faders and 128 input channels, new processor, interface and microphone cards for the existing NEXUS network plus an upgrade for the NEXUS software.

It also includes a new monitoring system featuring Klein + Hummel speakers in the sound control room and Aviom personal mixers for the stage and orchestra, allowing the musicians and performers of the three-genre-theatre to individually adjust their monitor signal. Hardware delivery and installation of the entire system is scheduled from late July to mid August. On August 30 starts the 2010/2011 season of the municipal theatre which was built back in 1956.

Münster is located in the north-west of Germany with about 270.000 people living in the city. Münster is the seat of highly renowned universities and colleges and internationally known for its Prinzipalmarkt, the marketplace in the city centre with the Gothic town hall (14th century) in which the Peace of Westphalia treaty (which put an end to the Thirty Years' War) was signed in 1648.
