New AJA Products Recognized with Prestigious Awards at IBC 2011
AJA Io XT enables video professionals to connect to a Thunderbolt-enabled Apple computer via a single cable. While a number of Thunderbolt-enabled devices debuted at the Amsterdam exhibition, the AJA Io XT is the only one that provides two Thunderbolt ports to enable daisy-chaining of multiple peripherals. TV Technology Europe editors recognized this innovation with a STAR Award, which celebrates the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry.
The AJA UDC Up/Down/Cross Mini-Converter provides high quality conversions between SD, HD and 3G video formats in a small and cost effective package. After evaluating the many new technologies introduced at IBC, judges from Broadcast Engineering awarded the AJA UDC with a Pick Hit Award based on the technical and financial improvements that it can bring to a broadcast facility’s operation.
“We’re honored to have our new products recognized for innovation and for the positive impact they bring to broadcast and video professionals,” said AJA President Nick Rashby. “We see our role as solving problems, simplifying processes, and making it easier for people and facilities to adopt new workflows and take advantage of the newest technologies as quickly and painlessly as possible. We respect TV Technology and Broadcast Engineering immensely and thank them for these awards.”
