Mobile Viewpoint Announces Virtual Pre IBC Event for showcasing AI and 5G

Mobile Viewpoint, global leaders in the development of live streaming technology and AI production platforms for broadcasters, have announced a virtual event as a replacement for their normal presence at IBC in September. As a leading manufacturer of mobile and fixed encoding devices for remote production and outside broadcast, coupled with new AI initiatives, COVID19 has not slowed them on their journey of developing world leading live roduction solutions. Like most companies with a good story to share, they are keen to show off their innovations and demonstrate new features.

Michel Bais explains “The IBC show in Amsterdam is a fantastic event for meeting new contacts and

reaffirming existing relationships within the broadcast industry. We are very saddened that the

physical event will not be happening this year. So we are organizing our own event prior to the IBC

virtual event where we are building a physical stand in our office environment and inviting

customers, resellers, prospects and anyone interested in our technology to come and talk with us

virtually on our stand. We will have one-on-one meetings almost as if we are face-to-face to discuss

all their needs and propose solutions that are fit for purpose.”

Despite a remote workforce, Mobile Viewpoint has been busy and has much to share. When Covid19

hit, they immediately developed TrolleyLive, an all-in-one studio in a box for remote presenters with

no technology ability to professionally live stream, either over broadband or over multiple cellular

networks, from a home location. Their existing encoders can support multi-cameras, 4K and are now

future proofed for 5G with some interesting workflows for remote productions with RCP camera

control and Tally light management. But some of their biggest innovations include their AI products

that are developing at quite a rate, despite the development team all working from remote

locations.

Bais explains further “The interest in AI as a broadcast production platform has exploded especially

as Covid is accelerating new decision making about technologies The ability to do professional

productions that were previously not possible due to cost and resource has allowed AI to effectively

replace the need for an onsite camera team. Our IQ-Sports Production platform can live stream

sports games and follow the action without the need of a cameraperson making grass root sports,

training games and youth sports available to everybody. We started out supporting ball games, but

we continually innovate to support other games including cycling in velodromes and now currently

looking at horse jumping initiatives. The AI is capable of creating its own automated replays and it’s

own post match highlight packages while keeping personnel to a minimum.”

Bais concludes “The whole virtual event will be live streamed with vPilot which is our other AI driven

platform. Designed to use as an automated studio production platform, it can control an array of PTZ

cameras without the need of any camera crew or onsite director, allowing professional productions

and live streaming for companies without resource or little TV knowledge.”

The virtual event will operate from 1 to 8 September 2020 and if you wish to make an appointment
