Live from Munich Geiselgasteig: The ARD Weather Show

In early November 2011 sono Studiotechnik GmbH received the order for the integration of the HD control room for the production of the ARD weather show in the Bavaria studios in Geiselgasteig.

In just two months planning and construction time a controll room optimized for the ARD weather report was established in Geiselgasteig.

The daily weather show is produced with Grass Valley LDK-8000 Elite cameras, a Snell Kahuna vision mixer, an HD Ultimatte keyer, a Nevion HD matrix, monitors from TVLogic, modular glue products from Lynx and a Grass Valley K2 Solo server. The integration of the Vizrt graphic engines was also carried out.

In addition to the aforementined hardware components sono also supplied the studio furniture, the monitor wall as well as additional audio and intercom equipment.
