LEMO Stands for the Best Connections

As is well known camera links are required to cope with very rough handling, and so the combination of properly constructed cable and qualified termination onto precision connectors is crucial to maximising the life of the cable assemblies. At BVE 2014 the LEMO stand will feature two SMPTE cable junctions and a knot in the cable carrying a massive 50kg load to indicate the toughness of both the connector junctions as well as the cable.
Also demonstrating LEMO’s pedigree connections, the stand will feature LEMO connectors on top level equipment from other broadcast manufacturers including a range of radio microphones from Sennheiser UK Ltd and the Kisslite camera lens lighting system from Gekko Lite Ltd.

Adding to the range of high quality connectors is the NEW LEMO 0T series of small diameter waterproof connectors, which complement the B Series range using same panel fixing whole sizes whilst offering sealing to IP68 level.
Completing the broadcast connections demonstration the live link is fed by the innovative LEMO HD Z-link camera back, which provides multi-channel system video and audio connections, with control for studio cameras and camcorders alike, using standard SMPTE fibre infrastructure. The use of high bandwidth fibre optics and multiplexing of numerous forward and return video, audio, talkback and data channels provide full communications with any camera position.
