International Event Safety & Security Conference at Prolight + Sound

From crowd management to worker protection

Safety at big events is a subject of great relevance for the entire live-entertainment sector. The ‘International Event Safety & Security Conference’ (I-ESC) brings together renowned speakers to discuss topical questions on avoiding hazards and dangers. The coming I-ESC at Prolight + Sound on 3 April 2019 will be distinguished by some important changes.

More than ever before, this year’s I-ESC will emphasise the direct and open exchange of ideas and information between speakers and participants. Additionally, the programme will be held for the first time in English with a simultaneous translation into German. The German Entertainment Technology Association (VPLT) is responsible for the programme.

Also new is the venue: I-ESC is moving to the ‘Circle Stage’ in Hall 4.0 and will thus be nearer the focal point of Prolight + Sound. After a halfhour keynote lecture by Donald Cooper (Event Safety Alliance, USA), the programme will alternate between panel discussions and expert lectures with question and answer sessions. In the networking breaks, there will be numerous short presentations on important topics related to event safety and security.
