Genelec Immersive Audio webinars

Therefore, over the next two weeks, Genelec’s Eric Horstmann will be hosting two G*Connect webinars on immersive audio: the first, on Tuesday 7^th April, called ‘Immersive Audio Demystified’, explains the principles of immersive audio, discussing the major audio formats, their application in the real world, and what type of loudspeaker systems are required to handle this type of content. The second webinar on Tuesday 14^th April is titled ‘Designing an Immersive Mix or Edit Room’, during which Eric will guide viewers through the principles and best practices of designing of an immersive mix or edit room – including the selection and positioning of loudspeakers, and explaining the entire signal chain to the finished mix.

Based in Berlin, Eric has a long track record in immersive technologies, having overseen the technical implementation of the first Dolby Atmos cinema mixing stage in Germany. Since then Eric has mixed extensively in immersive formats, and provided expert consultancy to those wanting to improve their immersive audio workflow. Having held high profile positions at Avid, Eric joined Genelec in 2018 as Regional Business Development Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The webinars are free to join, and everyone attending will be issued with a free certificate by Genelec afterwards. Presenters will be happy to take questions from attendees during the course of the presentation, and all those attending are actively encouraged to join in the discussion.
