ChyronHego and MRMC Partner to Create Landmark Intelligent Robotic Camera Solution

.

ChyronHego today announced that it has joined forces with Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC) to innovate a new best-of-breed Intelligent Robotic Camera Solution for its industry-leading TRACAB player tracking technology. Combining real-time motion capture with real-time motion, ChyronHego’s object tracking data is fed into the MRMC robotic camera heads allowing broadcast cameras to be used to create high-quality sports productions without the need for an operator or cameraman.

“With the growing use of our real-time player tracking technology, we are excited by this development with MRMC as we think it has the potential to be a real game-changer,” said Chairman and CEO of Hego, Johan Apel. “It represents a paradigm shift in how future sports productions can be covered and it will allow many new and innovative ways in which to present sports on TV. With a growing need for more and more content from new and interesting angles, the automation of video capture from sports offers many new opportunities, both commercially and editorially.”

The TRACAB player tracking system, currently deployed by many of the top sports leagues and competitions across the globe, uses automatic broadcast cameras to focus on specific players or groupings, and it can intelligently adjust the PTZ through a mixture of tracking data, metadata and predefined rules.

ChyronHego will offer demonstrations of the new Intelligent Robotic Camera Solution throughout NAB at booth, SL1010.
