Media Trust representative Lilia Fartukova-van Bienen and Camera Corps Managing Director Laurie Frost

Camera Corps announces the appointment of Media Trust Ltd as exclusive distributor for the CIS. Based in Moscow, Media Trust will handle the entire Camera Corps product range centred on the Q-Ball and HD Minicam remote-controlled camera systems.

"We were greatly impressed by Camera Corps' product demonstrations at NAB and IBC 2009 and 2010," comments Media Trust’s Managing Director Max Fartukov. "The Q-Ball robotic camera in particular provides all the features required for outside-broadcast capture of sports events, stage-performances or studio content. We have already taken delivery of two Q-Ball systems for addition to our rental inventory."

"Media Trust is one of Russia’s most pro-active providers of broadcast-quality television equipment and supporting services," adds Camera Corps' founder and Managing Director Laurie Frost. "The company's current inventory includes ground-based and overhead grip products which neatly complement our range of HD/SD robotic cameras, remote control joysticks, camera control units and reclockers."

Q-Ball is a compact HD/SD camera head with integral high-precision digital pan and tilt drive motors in a weather-proofed spherical housing machined from solid aluminium. Introduced at NAB 2009, it has already proved one of the most successful products in Camera Corps' history, delivering continuous video from two of the world's longest outside broadcast projects: 100 days in London's Trafalgar Square (televising Antony Gormley's 100-day 'One & Other' project) and more recently nine-months aboard a round-the-world sailing ship for VPRO-Netherland's reconstruction of Charles Darwin's voyage in HMS Beagle. Q-Ball has also provided reality-television coverage from some of the world's hottest and most humid jungles as well as winter-sports coverage at sub-zero temperatures from British Columbia.
