BFE and Brightcove Form Strategic Partnership
The convergence between Broadcast and Digital workflows first began to present itself at IBC in 2014. More recently the entrance of traditional broadcast services companies into the digital/OTT space is evidence that this trend is set to continue. This convergence was also a factor in Brighcove’s decision to add a modular technology strategy whereby the company is able to offer specific capabilities, players, encoding etc. in parallel with end-to-end publishing workflows in the shape of Video Cloud. This dual strategy has resonated in the market and given Brightcove the opportunity to partner in support of converged workflows for the broadcast vertical. A goal for Brightcove became to be more tightly integrated into the 'origin workflow', where the majority of a Tier 1 broadcasters’ technology stack is still driven by the linear workflow, which led to the decision to partner with BFE.
As one of the leading European systems integrators and specialists for tailor-made solutions, BFE is always looking for cutting-edge technologies to utilize in their projects in order to provide clients with best-of-breed solutions. As flexibility and global accessibility become increasingly important, the integration of cloud based solutions in the mix is the next logical step. BFE, as innovation leader in systems integration, decided to join forces with Brightcove as the leading provider of cloud technology and OTT solutions.
"Brightcove is delighted to be partnering with BFE, an acknowledged leader in delivering best of breed technology solutions for broadcasters”, says Mark Blair, Vice President EMEA at Brightcove and adds further: “As the convergence between traditional and digital forms of broadcasting continues to accelerate, broadcasters are looking for the next generation of technology solutions to support this transition. We are excited to be part of this transformation and look forward to the combination of BFE and Brightcove services driving real value to our customers."
Jawid Mahmoodzada, Head of Consulting at BFE adds: “We are looking forward to the cooperation. With Brightcove, the market leader and innovator in cloud video, we have found a partner with whom we can tackle the ongoing consolidation of online media services and classic on-premise systems end-to-end. Apart from enhancing our consulting and systems integration services, we see an added value especially in the integration of XaaS solutions in our portfolio.”
BFE has already integrated Brightcove services into its KSC CORE product line, adding cloud services capability to their successful broadcast control and monitoring solution, making it the first cloud resource management solution in the broadcast control market. This integration is a tangible example of BFE’s vision for a ground-breaking hybrid system environment which provides broadcasters and operators with the next generation of broadcast workflows.
