AMPVISUALTV: TWO NEW OBVANS IN THE MILLENIUM RANGE

Millenium 3 & 4 can be combined with a gate to create one powerfull OBVan for international productions and host broadcasts.

TV's offer is updated and becomes even more rational. Indeed, the two new units are the exact copy of the Millenium 6 launched in January 2018. François Valadoux, Chief Technical Officer : “We have been thinking about it for a few years. We want to bring a true principle of range, by offering perfectly similar units in order to always guarantee the same level of service and to offer flexibility in the assignment of our technicians."

The principle of these obvans is very largely based on IP technology, which makes it possible to distribute all the workstations according to any productions. Each one can, according to the needs be EVS station, editorial station or graphics. Likewise, the layout has been carefully devised in a logical way, deliberately separating the technical team (vision, coach managers and sound) from the editorial team : some at the back of the OB van, others at the front. This radically limits unnecessary and disturbing movement.

The new Millenium 3 and 4 are arrived in our range to replace the old ones of the same name, but above all, to achieve a new operating philosophy.

With careful decoration, lighting and ambiance, the first borned, Millenium 6 has become a reference for convenient working in two years. So, it was very natural to continue the strategy and release the two new units on the same model. The OB vans are now perfectly interchangeable on any productions.

A "Plug and Play" system was designed to combine two Milleniums (3, 4 or 6) and, through a gateway system, to upgrade the power of the control room and to accomodate a large technical team. The concept opens up many possibilities for very large and complex production requiring a large number of sources, or multiple output flows. The IP technologies that allow these associations are also those which foresee the development of Remote Production. “We know that all or part of the resources of a OB van can also be allocated to remote productions, considers François Valadoux – Chief Technical Officer, we are really at the beginning of a new era, a totally different way of thinking about the allocation of resources. ”
