Recallable Monitoring Setups
The truck can be used for live to cinema transmissions as well at traditional broadcast activities, both of which require a different monitoring setup. We have installed a computer-based recallable monitoring system to facilitate optimum results in either situation. Using FIR filters, each speaker can be eq’d and
the level changed with no discernible loss of audio quality. The preset can be saved to a USB stick for subsequent use.
Active Acoustics
Ever mixed at a festival where you can’t hear yourself think, let alone hear what you’re putting out – live – to air? We have a system to minimise external noise intrusion. At the moment in beta and subject to change, nevertheless we expect continuing improvements as we perfect it.
Backup and Protection
We have taken great care with the electrical systems on board. In addition to a 6KW UPS that will run the whole truck without power for up to 30 minutes, all technical equipment has either 2 power supplies or is connected via a source transfer switch. A switchable 7KW isolation transformer is on the input for
situations where it is impossible to bypass an RCD protected supply.
