Images from Åre 2019 may reach in excess of 815 million households worldwide. A total of 90 cameras are used to convey the action on and off the slopes to ski fans around the globe through race broadcasting, award ceremonies and studio programs.

Competitions where the athletes race one on one, man against man, woman against woman, team against team. In alpine skiing, it’s usually a race against the clock with intermediates, time differences and hundreds of seconds. But in the Alpine Team Event, it's a race against your opponent in the parallel track. Nothing more, nothing less.. It's just a matter of being the first to cross the finish line. It’s racing in its purest form.

Marcel Hirscher was not about to have anyone take the slalom gold from him. Alexis Pinturault, the only athlete with a chance to push the Austrian giant off the top of the podium, made a mistake in the second run. Austria swept the men's slalom podium as the Åre 2019 finale.

The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Åre 2019 concluded Sunday, 17 February, with the men’s slalom competition and the closing ceremony. To officially mark the end of the season’s highlight event in Åre, Sweden, the local organizing committee handed over the flag of the International Ski Federation (FIS) to the organizers of the 2021 World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

Yet another Alpine World Championship in Åre has come to an end. The third through the years. Skiers, visitors and volunteers have lived and breathed the World Championships for weeks. The organization has done the same for years. Beyond all the races that have been raced, the medals that have been awarded, something else has taken place. Perhaps the thoughts have been thought before, maybe they have been awaken when being here. Thoughts of the real meaning of life, or rather, thoughts of what kind of life we want to live. Thoughts of where our children should grow up, of where our everyday lives should take place. Where life should be lived.

Two weeks of FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2019 held at the National Arena in Åre, Sweden, finished on Sunday, 17 February, with the final slalom contest and the Closing Ceremony. The event saw new world champions crowned in downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom, alpine combined and the alpine team event, and broke new ground in remote production.

The video production arm of its Athletics Department streams home games for more than 37 sports to students, alumni and international audiences via ESPN+, Stretch Internet and NBC Sports Philadelphia. Handling up to three separate destination feeds for more than 200 events a year, each with unique delivery requirements, is a heavy load to bear, but one that Princeton Assistant Director of Athletics for Multimedia and Broadcasting Cody Chrusciel and partner John Bullis manage seamlessly. The duo spent the last six months ramping up their production infrastructure ahead of the 2019/2020 season – building two new control rooms, a flypack and on-campus studio, with AJA gear powering routing, conversion, streaming and recording. An additional control room and studio are slated to come online in Fall 2019.

 NAB2019 Show is introducing the “Esports Experience,” a new exhibit floor destination located in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The interactive area features exhibits, a theater and educational programming that showcase the latest online gaming trends and content delivery technologies. The 2019 NAB Show will be held April 6-11, with exhibits April 8-11.

ORF on behalf of INFRONT has once again selected Euro Media Group as key technical supplier for the Nordic Ski World Championships in Seefeld. More than 130 HD cameras were deployed at the cross country tracks, the ski jumping disciplines in Innsbruck and Seefeld and the three TV compounds.

Blackmagic Design today announced that German Bundesliga football club, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, has overhauled its internal production and live broadcast capabilities with the implementation of an UltraHD 4K solution based around Blackmagic Design. A third place finish in last season’s Bundesliga secured the club an automatic, first-time qualification for the UEFA Champions League 2018-19. Prompted by this new journey, the production team at TSG wanted to overhaul its existing SD infrastructure, and improve its streaming platform, TSG.TV.
