FEI and EBU sign new four-year contract to increase televised coverage of equestrian sport
The FEI has signed a new four-year contract with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) that will run through to the end of 2014, guaranteeing television coverage of equestrian sport in and around Europe. This is the third successive four-year contract between the FEI and the EBU.

Panasonic's DVCPRO HD to be Used as Offical Recording Format for London Olympics
Panasonic Corporation, the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category for the London 2012 Olympic Games, announced that Panasonic's DVCPRO HD will be the official recording format for capturing the London 2012 Olympic Games. Olympic Broadcasting Services London (OBSL), the Host Broadcaster, will also use the P2 HD series with solid-state memory cards for video recording equipment including P2 HD Camcorder AJ-HPX3100 and P2 Portable Recorder AG-HPD24 to support the broadcast of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

UEFA announced today that ZDF and Sky Deutschland have been awarded broadcast rights for the 2012-15 UEFA Champions League in Germany. Sky Deutschland has also been awarded media rights for the 2012-15 UEFA Europa League in Germany.

Multi-million pound deal over five years to provide enhanced OB services for over 350 race meetings a year
SIS LIVE, one of Europe’s large outside broadcast (OB) and uplink supplier, has agreed a five-year, multi-million pound deal with racecourse operator, Arena Leisure Plc, to provide OB facilities at all its racecourses in the UK. The deal, beginning 15th May 2011, covers over 350 race meetings a year, including the famous Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster. Arena Leisure is the busiest racecourse operator in the UK, with seven courses that comprise Doncaster, Lingfield Park, Royal Windsor, Southwell, Folkestone, Worcester and Wolverhampton.
