Clay Paky was a main attraction at Campovolo 2015 thanks to Lighting Designer Jo Campana. Campovolo was a three-and-a-half hour music festival organized to celebrate Ligabue's twenty-five year career. The 150,000 tickets sold for over seven million euros makes it an all time record for Italy.

It’s always exciting being involved in something new and innovative, so Nashville based lighting and visuals designer Chris Lisle was delighted to be invited by production manager Jim Dorroh of LEO Events to light seven performance stages at the inaugural KAABOO festival recently staged in Del Mar, California.

Janet Jackson embarked on a major world tour at the end of August, hitting the road on the initial North American leg with audio production provided by VER Tour Sound, including a pair of DiGiCo SD7 consoles at front-of-house and monitors. At the end of September, StubHub announced that the early dates, in support of Jackson’s new No. 1 album, Unbreakable, placed the tour among the top 10 hottest concerts of the fall season based on sales through the online ticket marketplace.

If you’re an EDM fan and live in America’s desert southwest, El Paso’s Sun City Music Festival (SCMF) is likely on your summer festival calendar. Held over Labor Day Weekend (September 5-6), both attendance and production values have grown yearly since the inaugural SCMF in 2011.

The fourth edition of the RadioItaliaLive concert took place in Piazza Duomo in Milan. The long-awaited musical event organized by Radio e Video Italia SoloMusicaItaliana went back on stage with a lavish line-up. The general event production team, led by Gaetano Notaro, started taking its first steps in December last year. Together with the publisher Mario Volanti, Notaro put the Lighting Designer & Director Giancarlo Toscani in charge of a significant portion of the event once again. The concert showcased both extremely famous and less famous artists, all with very different personalities.

Two days of absolutely banging dance vibes from some of the biggest EDM artists on the planet including Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiesto, Alesso, rising star Martin Garrix and many, many more … pulled thousands of music fans into the Amsterdam Arena for the 2015 Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF). This topped off the five day annual Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) which featured with 350 individual sub-events across 80 venues and clubs in the city.

Consistently innovative, exciting and alternative, the trancey electro beats of Above & Beyond filled London’s Wembley Arena for a special one off concert which was also a charity fundraiser  and celebrated the life and work of Jono Grant’s sister Charlotte who died suddenly earlier this year. All proceeds from the show went to Little Something.

Miranda Lambert’s “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars” tour reprises the name of her first headlining tour in 2010.  It follows her “Certified Platinum” tour earlier this year and features an all-female lineup.

‘Strictly Come Dancing’ was first aired in 2004 from BBC Television Centre and Merging’s Pyramix was used for those early productions and on the successive series.  The current series is transmitted from the George Lucas studio used by BBC Studios and Post Production. The demands of complex entertainment shows suggested that merely updating the Mykerinos based Pyramix was not going to be sufficient.  It made sense to replace it completely with a new Pyramix MassCore 256 Music Pack with new hardware, including a Horus Networked Audio Interface.  With the need to post-produce some of the shows, a VCube Essentials pack was also part of the package.
