Fedez's tour follows the success of his album Pop-Hoolista, which was a permanent fixture in the top 20 for more than twenty-four weeks, earning him a double platinum award. Fedez is an awkward artist. He is intelligent and freely expresses biting concepts, which he combines with provocative images. On his tour of arenas and clubs, he proved he is able to hold the stage without concern, even at challenging venues, like the Mediolanum Forum just outside Milan and the PalaLottomatica in Rome.

W-DMX™ by Wireless Solution Sweden AB made a beautiful exhibition during the recent Closing Ceremony for the first European Games at the Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan on June 28. The inaugural event was broadcast throughout Europe and beyond and featured almost 6,000 athletes from 50 countries competing in 20 sports. The newly built 225,000-square-meter Stadium held a sold out audience of 68,000 for both the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. 

Multi award-winning, multi-talented, chart-topping singer songwriter Paolo Nutini recently played a concert at Millennium Square in Leeds, UK, right in the city centre, for which the production (flown) lighting rig of Robe BMFLs, Pointes and LEDWash 600s was supplied by locally based Zig Zag Lighting for event promoter Futuresound Events. Paolo’s lighting designer Jason Hyne brought his touring specials package in ‘underneath’ this, and combined the two lighting rigs to create another stunning and dramatic show that thrilled the 7000 enthusiastic fans at the sold out show.

West London based rental company Entec continued their working relationship with darlings of the uniquely alternative UK ‘musique noir’ and trip hop Portishead, a band who have consistently produced interesting, different and intriguing music and performance, retaining a sense of mystique, cleverly balancing their popularity as live artists with critical acclaim.

Currently touring the US with a Martin Audio MLA loudspeaker system provided by SES (Special Event Services) of Winston Salem, NC and Nashville, TN, the Avett Brothers recently sold out three nights at the challenging Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Bristol based lighting and video rental specialist Fineline enjoyed another ‘Sessions’ season at the Eden Project in Cornwall, providing production lighting, LED screen, trussing and rigging for the 2015 Eden Sessions - seven high profile concerts with a diverse line up including Elton John (2 shows), Paolo Nutini, Paloma Faith, Motorhead, The Stranglers, Spandau Ballet and Ben Howard.

Adlib’s remarkable working relationship with the touring version of multi award-winning mega-successful sitcom Mrs Brown’s Boys hits the 15 year mark this year, with the Liverpool based company providing full technical production – sound, lighting and video -  for the various legs of the 2015 arena tour, scheduled to conclude in December, plus a live DVD shoot in September.

The musical is produced by the original creative team behind the classic 1992 film, including director and co-writer, Baz Luhrmann and set and costume designer, Catherine Martin.

Thomas Gerdon, lighting designer for one of Germany’s most popular television shows, Verstehen sie Spass, used a substantial rig of Ayrton lighting fixtures to light the live broadcast from Munich’s Bavaria Studios no 9 in April.Verstehen sie Spass, a ‘hidden camera’ television series of two live and two recorded shows, features three musical acts within its format. The line up for this particular evening included vintage German rockers, The Scorpions, Germany’s 2015 Eurovision representative, Ann Sophie, and baritone crooner, Marc Marshall.

Italian superstar Vasco Rossi completed his Live Kom 15 stadium tour in a blaze of glory with a production designed by the combined talents of set company Gioforma and long term lighting designer Giovanni Pinna, which also incorporated substantial video elements with screen content managed and controlled via grandMA2 light.
